To cheer or not to cheer...

DEDICATED TO..
All those pretty girls out there who entertain us by dancing around with mini skirts in IPL matches and those pretty ones who are a treat for the eyes..Yes,The Cheerleaders.

IPL-Indian Premier League

IPL has indeed changed the way everyone perceives entertainment and sports. The two have been integrated seamlessly and its evident from the tagline "manoranjan kaa baap"(for the uninitiated ones,it means-the grand daddy of entertainment).Ofcourse this has not been possible without the controversies involved in it.Afterall whats fun without controversies and gossips. Now most of you people would've realised that this post is not about how the IPL has become a big hit or how it has entertained us,but something close to it.

This is something i really wanted to argue about badly coz my heart goes out for those pretty dolls who entertain us.I really wonder what his hit the head of shatrugan sinha, may be he watched katrina kaif acting or trying to act.His remarks were totally funny, amazingly retarded and stupid.Whats going to hurt a popular game like cricket with some glam, agreed that this is no film industry, but its entertainment nonetheless only the means vary.Coming back to the comment made by him-"If you are so interested in deploying these cheer girls who dance after hits of fours and sixes, it is better to give chance to the bar girls who became unemployed after Maharashtra government banned their dance in bars," (source:http://sify.com/news/fullstory.php?id=14655811).I dont understand what he means by the same,i mean he doesnt get the concept of cheerleaders and all that.He is confused between the bargirls and the cheerleaders.Ok,i can understand that he is trying to be funny like me,but then it hardly evokes a smile or two. This view is endorsed by even various politicians and it seems as if this has become the debate of discussion in the parliament. For gods sake, dont they have any other issues to attend to..seesh..give me a break. And to make things worse, the government is planning to ban this at matches.I dont get the logic, the very politicians and bureau who dint even raise a word against the skimpy dresses of mallika, bipasha and the likes.I mean its okay for the bollywood babes to go semi-nanga while these pretty dolls are damaging the "indian culture and heritage"-how stupid can this be?!..As if this is not enough, they highlighted their stupidity by further stating that this is being watched by kids, old men alike and that it may have an adverse affect on them.If that were the case, most of the kids out there would've got spoilt by now coz the bollywood item numbers are nothing short of the acts of "obscenity" displayed by these cheerleaders.Let the bureau ban mallika, bipasha,Why the hell dont they do that?!..Something that amazes me more than salman khan's shirt is the choice of words that these people use to describe the concept of cheerleading-"obscene","unwanted","against our culture" blah blah..i am really sad at the fact that even the guy who is posting this blog with his underdeveloped IQ is able to understand that obscenity and vulgarity means something similar to a cabaret dance and what the cheergirls are doing is something called a "dance".I personally dont see anything vulgar or obscene in gyrating and graceful movements of those girls. If that is vulgarity,i am really out of words to describe the stupidity levels exhibited by them.I've seen far more worse things than the likes of those innocuous(well i cant say innocuous, but then, its something close to it)gyrations in south indian movies. It really depends on perspectives and how they view this concept.I dont understand why are they unable to integrate cheerleaders and cricket together. Its just a part of the game.If they are getting so disturbed by their movements, its better they just watch the match alone or switch off the TV.Even shahid afridi(source http://www.khaleejtimes.com/DisplayArticleNew.asp?col=§ion=theworld&xfile=data/theworld/2008/April/theworld_April954.xml)was found echoing the same sentiment.Agreed that families do come to watch matches, how in the world does it matter and besides if its so distracting for the cricketers,it means they are not concentrating properly. Its essential that they keep their minds on the game on not elsewhere. No wonder afridi was not at his usual explosive form, keeping the minds elsewhere eh?!..
Equally dumb were their suggestions-to hire local girls for the same purpose as they might not cross the rigid "cultural" boundaries put forth by these narrow minded people or worse ban them.
I could see that few teams were very "traditional" in their approach -the mumbai indians and chennai super kings and let me tell you that it sucked big time. What fun is it i mean,to see fully covered chicks dancing around. Before your mind can jump to conclusions about me-No,i'm not telling that there must be skin revealed and that the girls should run all around the ground without any clothes, not at all,but then it would be useless like drinking a soft drink without the cooling. Its a treat for sore eyes isn't it,watching beautiful women dancing with cute dresses.I feel not many will echo my view about this issue, who cares..but then comments and criticisms are welcome though.
After going through all these crappy and narrow minded opinions,i suggest few things which might cool their hooves regarding this issue-
a.The cheergirls wear sarees and dance so that there would be no "vulgarity" in their clothing.Even better would be the burkha's.May be then afridi can start scoring runs..!!
b.The cheergirls should be fat and old ladies so that none will get influenced or spoilt by watching their dance and they should be so ugly that all will be forced to see the match only.
c.Instead of those "vulgar" and "obscene" gyrations, its better there be cheerleaders who are qualified bharatanatyam or classical dancers. That way, they will be pleasing on the eyes for the narrow minded ones in the top and that it will not be against our culture.
As for those people who still feel that this should be banned, all i wanna say for them is..
"GET A LIFE AND GROW UP".

Phew, after all that intense reading,i decided its better you people cool yourselves with the image of the day,

my personal favourites-cute,arent they?!.All you guys out there, you still think that they should be banned?!..
